Joshua Roche, 12th grade student, represented Gulf High School at Pasco Schools’ TEDx Event on Saturday, May 6th, 2017. Over 30 schools in Pasco County participated in the event. His topic was “A Story you Never Knew.” Josh did an outstanding job with his presentation.

Student government end of the year field trip to Blizzard Beach!
The first Pasco County All Star Baseball game featuring the Best of the West vs the Best of the East will be played May 20 at Bishop McLaughlin High School. The two seniors from Gulf High playing in the game are Mike Smith and Pedro de los Rios.
The Gulf High School April Students of the Month are: Selena Rosa (12th), Cheyenne Dodd (11th), Savanna Lanier (9th), and Danielle Jensen (10th). Students of the Month are nominated by their teachers. The final selection is made by a special committee. Congratulations to these outstanding students!

Spotted in the faculty parking lot after school today: retired former Gulf math teacher Mr. Griffith! Mr. Griffith tutors several math students, as evidenced by the math papers, pencil, and calculator, but he reports that he spends much more time playing golf.

Seniors got the first peek at the new yearbooks at the end of the school day today (5/1). Underclassmen will be able to pick up their yearbooks starting Tuesday during both lunches.
From Ms. Donlon: Students interested in applying for the Regional Medical Center of Bayonet Point’s Teen Summer Volunteer Program can pick up an application in guidance. The Teen Summer Volunteer Program runs from June 5, 2017 – August 11, 2017. Students MUST be at least 16 years of age. Application deadline is May 19, 2017.
