Walter Hilgart, Gulf High School’s popular 90-year old sub, the oldest employee of the Pasco school district, has retired from subbing. Mr. Hilgart was born on Oct. 5, 1922, about 3 weeks after Gulf High School opened.

Pauline Bollman, who was Gulf High School’s psychologist for 18 years, died on March 22. She retired from Gulf in 2006. She had also been the school psychologist for Fox Hollow Elementary School for 14 years. Her obituary is here.
