Gulf junior Alexi Lake, one of the divers in the Epiphany celebration in Tarpon Springs, has been officially recognized by the Epiphany Committee as the fourth retriever of the cross. Alexi located the second cross in the water, but an underwater battle ensued and another diver eventually came up with the cross. Some of Alexi’s friends say that he actually held it up above the water first. In 2010 Gulf student Dimitrios Kalogiannis retrieved the cross.
