Six Gulf juniors who took the 2010 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test have met the requirements to enter the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program. They are among the 50,000 highest-scoring participants out of about 1.5 million program entrants. Of these 50,000 students, about 16,000 will be named National Merit Program Semifinalists, representing the top scorers in each state. The students were informed of their selection by Dr. Knobl this afternoon. Pictured are, left to right: Kathlyn L. Penick; Olga A. Saniukovich, Brittany M. Adams, Shree Sundaresh, Corey A.
