Bruno Buonsanto, the administrative assistant for 12th grade students, has been named the SRP of the Year.
Mr. Buonsanto came to Gulf in 2008 as the ISS instructor. He is currently the Administrative Assistant for seniors and he is also our boys and girls weightlifting coach. He is a 1989 graduate of Gulf High School.
He is also the head football and basketball coach at Gulf Middle School.
Mr. Buonsanto was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. He is a Navy veteran, having served in Desert Storm/Shield on board the USS Midway CV-41 (Air Craft Carrier forward deployed Yokosuka, Japan). Mr. Buonsanto worked previously for Waste Management Inc. and managed a construction landfill in Hudson. After leaving the waste disposal business and before joining the Gulf High staff in 2008, he was employed by Datatron Communications as a project manager. He played four years of semi-pro football and three years of arena football for the AIFA (Gulf Coast Raiders), NIFL (Florida Knights), and the APFL (Florida Scorpions).
Mr. Buonsanto is married to Roxanne Buonsanto, a teacher at Double Branch Elementary School. They have two sons, Anthony, a student at Gulf High School, and Nico, a student at Gulf Middle School.
