Steve Page will become the Assistant Principal for our IB program. In an email to the faculty on June 13, Ms. Davis wrote, “I am pleased to announce that we have a new Assistant Principal for the GHS IB program. Steve Page will be coming to GHS from Land O’ Lakes High School and is very familiar with the IB program. Steve started teaching in 1989 and moved into administration in 2006. He will begin working with Mrs. Gideon next week to ensure a smooth transition and to begin the preparation for our 5-year review. If you are campus this summer, please make sure you stop by and introduce yourself. We are all very excited to have Steve as part of our team and know will be a great addition to the staff of GHS.”

Mr. Page earned his Masters Degree in Education Leadership from Argosy University and his Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences Education from the University of South Florida.

His first teaching assignment was in Hillsborough County at Leto High School in 1989. In 2000 Mr. Page earned Gaither High School’s Teacher of the Year award and also won a NASDAQ Economics award in 2001. He accepted a teaching position at Mitchell High School, making the switch to Pasco County in 2002. His teaching experience has ranged from middle school drop out prevention classes to Advanced Placement courses at the high school level. In addition, Mr. Page has coached basketball, football and track.

In September of 2006 Mr. Page left the classroom to became an assistant principal at Land O’ Lakes High School.

Steve’s wife is a teacher for Pasco eSchool. Their son, Swayze, is a 2012 graduate of Mitchell High School, where their daughter, Samantha, will be a senior this school year.
