Joseph Eggen is a new social studies teacher at Gulf. He will be teaching U. S. History, U. S. History Honors, and Government.
Mr. Eggen comes to Gulf from Texas. He taught U. S. History and Economics at Lehman High School in Kyle, Texas, and he was athletic director and an assistant principal at Jean Massieu Academy, a pre-K to 12 charter school in Arlington, Texas.
He is a graduate of Texas State University at San Marcos, and has a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He attended Prior Lake High School in Prior Lake, Minnesota.
Mr. Eggen was born in Bloomington, Minnesota, and says that he is a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan.
At Texas State he played soccer, and he has joined our coaching staff as the assistant coach for boys soccer.
His wife Yanette is employed by Prime Lending.
