Linda Allan, who started at Gulf in 2000, will retire at the end of the school year. She taught mostly English. She is certified in English and ESE.
She was briefly known as Mrs. Lendowski when she was first hired.
Before coming to Gulf she worked in several capacities. She worked with handicapped adults at a day treatment center in Long Island and she taught English in middle school in the Eastport School District on Long Island.
Mrs. Allan’s husband Marc retired recently as an engineering inspector for Pinellas County.
She says her interests include quilting and raising orchids.
Linda Zappola was born in Meadowbrook, Long Island. She says she worked her way up the alphabet from Z to L to A.
Mrs. Allan is one of six Gulf teachers who are retiring this year.
