Gulf High School turns 91 years old today. We’re the third-oldest high school in Pasco County (after Pasco and Zephyrhills). The picture below was taken on Sept. 18, 1922, when registration and opening ceremonies were held, not at the school but at a church on Orange Lake. The auditorium in the original school (now Schwettman Education Center) wasn’t ready. You can also see the front page of the first school newspaper, from Oct. 1922, here.
