Two members of the Gulf faculty recently learned that remarkably they both had attended Malone College, a small Christian college (now University) in Canton, Ohio. On Oct. 14, the first day of homecoming week, Gulf students and teachers wore college shirts, so they are both dressed in Malone shirts in this picture.
Greta Schrader (left), who joined our faculty this year, graduated in 2011 and Lisa Jennings, a guidance counselor who joined our faculty last year, graduated in 1996. Both grew up in Ohio.
Malone College had about 1500 students when Ms. Jennings attended, and about 2500 when Ms. Schrader attended. The school changed its name to Malone University while Ms. Schrader was a student. (larger photo)
