The Girls and Boys track team had a great showing yesterday (2/23) at Mitchell. Here are some of the highlights:
Jasmine Jackson continued her undefeated streak this season in the discus with a throw of 105 feet. She also placed 1st in the shot put as well.
Ashley Gonyou placed 1st in the High Hurdles and 300m Hurdles
The girls 4 x 400m relay team blew their personal best time out of the water to win 1st place with a time of 4:35
The girls 4 x 800m relay team of Abigail Raymond, Aubrey Crespo, Sayla Bove and Cheyenne Dodd placed 1st
Abigail Raymond placed 4th in the high jump with a jump of 4 feet 4 inches nod 4th in the mile with a personal best time of 6:01
Aubrey Crespo placed 4th in the 800m run.
Yanier Mejia placed 4th in the discus with a personal best throw of 70 feet 8.5 inches
La’Dhezia Elmore placed 5th in the Shot Put with a personal best throw of 28feet 2 inches
Cheyenne Dodd placed 5th in the 400m run
Anthony Mercado placed 1st in the shot put with a toss of 47 feet and 3rd in the Discus with 121 feet 11 inches
John Jessup placed 1st in the 2 mile run with a time of 10:40
Sebastian Gazda placed 1st in the mile run with a time of 4:55
The boys 4 x 800m relay team of Brandon Hendricks, Sebastian Salazar, Sebastian Gazda and John Jessup place 2nd
Manden Smith placed 5th in the 100m Dash with a time 12.52
The boys 4 x 100m relay team of Corey Hurley, Manden Smith, Matthew Sandoval and Issaiah Groen placed 4th
Cody Rose placed 5th in the Long Jump with 16 feet 10 inches
There were many other personal best performances last night including the two run by Gage Malone who ran exceptionally well in the 400m and 200m dash and Marylnn Bacon in the Long Jump.
