We will be having a Lunch and Learn for students that can benefit and receive information concerning Take Stock in Children (through Pasco Educational Foundation). Take Stock in Children is an opportunity for students to receive a guaranteed tuition (at a Florida College price) toward a 60 credit hour program. Students must be in 9th or 10th grade, be in a financial need (that will be verified), participate in the free or reduced lunch program, currently have minimum of 2.5 GPA (freshman) or 2.7 GPA (sophomore) , and be a US citizen/or legal US resident. Students will receive a mentor while they are in the program also.
The Take Stock in Children Lunch and Learn will be in the Career Center on Tuesday, November 12 (for 9th graders) and Thursday, November 14 (for 10th graders). Students can sign up in Guidance starting immediately for both A & B lunch periods. They will receive information and an application packet. Deadline to return applications to Guidance is December 9.
Flyers will be given to 9th and 10th grade English teachers to distribute to their students.
