In a renewal of two of the oldest high schools on the Suncoast, Tarpon Springs came to Gulf in a 5A district 8 matchup. Playing a regular season game against Tarpon for the first time since 2007, the Buccaneers came away with a 7-4 victory. In the first inning the Bucs put a 5 spot led by a bases clearing double off the bat of Haley McCarthy. Madison Morlan went the distance for her 4th win. The victory keeps the Bucs tied for the top seed in the district with River Ridge. Next up: Academy of Holy Names on Thursday 2/27. Game time is 7:pm.
