From Mrs. Kelley: The Pasco Education Foundation is sponsoring two scholarships. Applications are in the GHS Guidance Department. DEADLINE TO RETURN APPLICATIONS TO THE GHS GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT IS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2012.
1) TAKE STOCK IN CHILDREN is for 9th graders who have a 2.5 or higher grade point average (based on quarter 1) and who participate in the free/reduced lunch program. This scholarship provides tuition for 60 credit hours (2 years) at a community college. The community college tuition rate can be applied to a four year university in Florida. Students are assigned a mentor during high school.
2) RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES is for 10th graders who have earned a cumulative 2.7 or higher grade point average and who participate in the free/reduced lunch program. This scholarship provides tuition for 60 credit hours (2 years) at a community college. The community college tuition rate can be applied to a four year university in Florida. Students are also assigned a mentor during high school.
