Jan. 28 is Purple for Peek. Many Gulf teachers and students will wear purple tomorrow in memory of Margaret Peek and all others who have died from cancer. This event was organized by a student, and is being held on the anniversary of the Challenger disaster. Miss Peek hoped to be a passenger on that flight. Donations for the Margaret Peek Scholarship can be sent to Patty Joens at Gulf High School, with checks made to Gulf High School and Margaret Peek Scholarship in the comment line.
