Congratulations to NJROTC Cadet Trinity-Anne Santiago for being selected for the Joseph C. Gilliam Academic Achievement Award which recognizes one Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training cadet in each of the 10 NJROTC areas for outstanding achievement each year. These areas are spread throughout the United States, Guam, and Italy. Cadet Santiago won the award from over 60 schools with NJROTC units in Area 7 which encompasses most of the Navy schools in Florida. The award is based on the student’s grades as well as an essay which Cadet Santiago wrote: ‘What qualities will be necessary for a leader as Artificial Intelligence and robots continue to be integrated into the workplace?’. Congratulations to Cadet Santiago, her family, and our NJROTC unit!
