Mike Calafiore will join our faculty on Monday (Oct. 1) as a new teacher in the social studies department. His is a new position created because we have a larger number of students than had been expected. Mr. Calafiore will teach three sections of World History and one section of U. S. History and one section of Government/Economics. The class will continue in room 256 at first, but Ms. Davis hopes to be able to move him to room 201 within a week. Mr. Calafiore is a 2007 graduate of Gulf High School. He was the state wrestling champion in his class in his senior year and placed second at states in his junior year. He majored in history at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. (We took this picture at the football game Friday!)
