prahasky_300Charlene Prahasky will become an assistant principal at Gulf High School, pending school board approval. She will replace Doug Elias, who has transferred to River Ridge High School.

Mrs. Prahasky comes to Gulf from Hudson High School, where she has been an assistant principal and a teacher. She has taught English, math, performance-based diploma, and self-contained ESE. She has also been a reading coach and literacy specialist. She has worked in the Pasco County school district for 21 years, mostly at HHS but for three years at Gulf Middle School. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from USF.

Mrs. Prahasky was born in Springfield, Illinois. She attended elementary school in Illinois before moving to Florida. Here she attended Northwest Elementary, Bayonet Point Middle, and Hudson Middle schools. She is a 1989 graduate of HHS. Her three teenagers attend Hudson High, although the oldest will graduate this year.
