Rachel Livingston and James Donlon participated in Journalism Day at Busch Gardens’ Howl-O-Scream, where they spent the day getting a behind-the-scenes look at the event. They took a tour of one of the haunted houses, ‘Deathwater Bayou’, interviewed both the creative director and the ‘scare actor’ coordinator of Howl-O-Scream, and made their own voodoo dolls based on the theme of the house they toured. Rachel and James are now in the process of producing a video about Howl-O-Scream to enter in to a contest put on by Busch Gardens to encourage journalism in public high schools. In 2011, Gulf High won first place! We are hoping for a repeat!
