It has been an exciting Homecoming Week thus far at Gulf High School. We’ve been enjoying the dress up days and keeping track of students participating. Class competitions are ongoing during lunches with a “pennies for points” fundraiser going on.

Our parade through downtown New Port Richey was a success today. NJROTC color guard, the City Mayor and Deputy Mayor, GHS band and flag corps, administration, homecoming court (riding in some very classy cars!), football team, cheer squad and their coaches, class floats, and guest groups from GMS made the line up. We followed the traditional route around Sims Park and down Grand, then back to the school. The rain held off until after the parade was done.

Wednesday is our Pep Rally in the gym. (Plus, it’s an early release day with students leaving school for the day at 11:45am.)

And of course, our football game, homecoming court, and dance are all 100% on for Friday!  Seating at the stadium will be a bit modified on the Home Team side, but nothing will prevent everyone from having a great time at the game. Kick off is 6:30pm. Come cheer on our Bucs football team against Tarpon Springs.

[Note: The “day games” and “night games” (including Powder Puff) originally planned for Wednesday are being rescheduled – date to be announced soon. That’s been the only adjustment to our week of Homecoming activities. Thanks for understanding!]
