November 6, 2021 is the Homecoming Dance in our GHS gymnasium. Students are being provided this notice of guidelines to help make the evening fun and enjoyable for everyone present. Parents/guardians are being asked to review these guidelines at home and be sure your student understands these expectations.
- The dance runs from 7pm to 10pm in the gym. Plan for your ride to pick you up by 10pm the latest. Do not delay in calling for your ride early.
- The only entrance is the front lobby of the gym. Students are not permitted to use any other doors.
- There is no reentry. Once in, remain at the dance until you leave. You may not leave and come back.
- Only students with their own ticket in hand are permitted to enter. No parents/guardians or non-ticketed persons. No redistribution of tickets to other people is permitted.
- There are no ticket sales at the door; all tickets are sold out. No refunds for unused tickets.
- Finger food is provided as part of your admission until it runs out. Please be courteous in what you take and be aware of others.
- A concessions area is open for additional purchase of snacks.
- A “coat check” is available for those wishing to check shoes, jackets, other items. This is used at the item owner’s own risk.
- A photo area for selfies is available for appropriate use.
- The announcing of Homecoming Royalty will take place at the dance.
- Appropriate use of personal electronics is expected by all.
- Maintain proper dress code per the permission form signed to attend.
- Gulf High School is a drug free, alcohol free, tobacco free, vape free, weapons free campus. Students will face school and legal consequences if in violation.
- Observe polite behavior and language at all times. Treat all others with respect and kindness.
- Administration reserves the right to remove attendees at any time for behavior or other reasons that violate the decorum of the event.
- Law enforcement will be present to provide security.
