Ms. Butler and three of her students made a field trip on Thursday (9/15) to One Blood Services in St. Petersburg. Ms. Butler writes, “It was an informative, educational event. We learned about what happens to the blood after donations. The separation of meds, and the testing of diseases, and how it is stored/frozen until used. We toured the lab, and the testing facility. It was a great day. Very informative, and a little on the queasy side.”
