UPDATE: Results from the Pasco County Election Supervisor’s office show that in our mock election President Obama received 605 votes (69%) and Governor Mitt Romney received 268 votes (31%). In the U.S. Senate race, Sen. Bill Nelson won with 54% of the vote. The Penny for Pasco proposition carried, with 84% of Gulf students voting yes.

Gulf seniors and juniors are voting in a mock election today (Nov. 5) and freshmen and sophomores are voting tomorrow. Voting is done by computer, but on screen the ballot looks very much like the printed ballot in the real election. Only juniors and seniors will vote on the constitutional amendments. Results of the vote will be available Tuesday night at 7. During third period today Mr. Donaldson (shown in the photo below) was showing students how to log in to the computers to vote.
