Christopher D. Hamilton is the Gulf High School Outstanding Senior!

He was chosen by a vote of the faculty, based on academics, service, and leadership. He will compete with outstanding seniors from the other high schools in Pasco County for the honor of being selected as the county’s Outstanding Senior.

Christopher is the President of the Class of 2017, both this year and last year as a junior. He was the 2016 homecoming king and was the 2015 homecoming prince. He is a varsity football player, varsity track runner, and varsity soccer team captain, and he is a member of the Math Honor Society, National Honor Society, SADD Club, and Future Business Leaders of America.

He was selected and participated in Youth Leadership Pasco, a county-wide leadership program, a Boys State, a state-wide government leadership program where he held the positions of County Commissioner and head of the Department of Education. Mr. Hamilton is active in the Filipino community with his involvement in the Pilipino American Association of Tampa and serving as the youth chairman for the Fil-Am Social Club of Hernando

He plays competitive soccer for the Clearwater Chargers, serving as captain for the U19 boys team.

He has been recognized in his community by being selected to be a member of the Youth Advisory Board for the city of New Port Richey, where he works with government officials to help better the city, and by being chosen to be part of the Master Plan Steering Committee for renewal of New Port Richey parks starting in December.

While balancing these activities, he maintains a 4.26 GPA, along with being a fun-loving, pun-making, hard-working student who tries his best to be a positive influence on all the people around him.
