Gulf High School’s third annual World FAIR will be held on Friday (11/22) during periods 1-4 in the activity center.

Over 50 booths will be set up represent different countries around the world. Each booth will have an activity that pertains to that country, as well as questions to educate visitors about their country’s geography, history, and culture. Items will be on display and visitors can exchange money for tickets that will be sold next week during both lunches and at the door to purchase food and/or cultural items through out the FAIR. Proceeds made will go towards the victims affected by the Typhoon in the Philippines.

Sra. Rodriguez writes, “With our diverse population, the World FAIR encourages students to reach out and come together as a whole. This event does not only educate students about global differences, it promotes awareness as well. Our goal is to involve our community and allow others to realize the diversity that surrounds them every day. So please join us next Friday for an enjoyable, relaxing day, and a chance to learn, explore, and understand the world around us.” She also asks students and teachers to bring lots of money, as it’s for a good cause!

Classes are invited. Students should leave backpacks in the classroom and teachers are asked to accompany their students to assist with supervision. Teachers should gather their students at least five minutes prior to the end of the period.
