Please take the time to wish our GHS Band students the best of luck as they head to our State Music Performance Assessment tomorrow in Titusville, FL. This is the first time in 25 years that our band is performing at the State level and this is quite an honor in the high school band world! To make this even more special, this is only the 9th time that Gulf High has been eligible for States in the 79 years that records have been kept (1939-1940 is as far back as records have been kept by the State). Our first appearance was in 1973, followed by appearances in 1982, 1983, 1986 (my sophomore year here at Gulf High!), 1989, 1991, 1993, and 1994.
Our band kids have been working very hard this semester and I am so proud of their accomplishments. Wish them luck tomorrow!
