GHS Class of 2021 Graduates and Families,
We know how important it is that our graduates receive their diplomas in person while walking across the stage in front of family, friends, and faculty. With that in mind, we’re happy to announce the updated plan for our 2021 graduation ceremony.
Our 2021 graduation ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 2 at 9 am at our brand-new Gulf High School Des Little Stadium. Each graduate is permitted to invite four guests.
We made these plans after we were notified recently that the Yuengling Center at USF will not be available for our school district’s 2021 graduations in June. Our revised plan for in-person graduation is similar to our ceremony last year, with a few improvements. Last year, graduates were limited to two guests. This year, each graduate can have four guests. Two of the guests will sit with the graduate on the field. Two other guests can be seated in the bleachers to cheer them on.
We believe this plan accomplishes our goal of bringing all our graduates together in a safe environment for the once-in-a-lifetime experience to receive their diploma in person in front of family and friends.
We look forward to celebrating with you on your accomplishment.
As we move through the 4th quarter, we will share more exciting details about senior celebrations and our graduation ceremony.
