JUNIOR BOYS: Each year the local American Legion sends GHS students to Boys State in Tallahassee from July 7 thru July 13, 2013. You must have at least a 3.0 gpa and have documented service and leadership. Students attending learn how our State and Local government works. Also, you can earn 3 college credits upon completion. Come to Guidance for the application that is due by Friday, February 8, 2013.
JUNIOR GIRLS: Each year the local American Legion Auxiliary sends a GHS student to Girls State that is held in Tallahassee from June 13 thru June 21, 2013. Girls State provides a great opportunity to learn about the government process and develop leadership skills. You need at least a 3.0 gpa and demonstrate leadership, service, and character. Come to Guidance for application. Deadline to submit application is February 1, 2013.
