Aubreigh Freeman, a Gulf High School student, illustrated a new book published by the West Pasco Historical Society with several drawings, including the front cover. Aubreigh won a competition among local high school students to do the art for the book. The top photo was taken at the museum of the historical society on Dec. 8, when she was presented with the $100 prize. Also in the photo are Aubreigh’s parents Mel and Beth and her brother Jonah. The bottom photo shows the front cover of the book, with her drawing. The book is historical fiction for children. It can be purchased at the museum and at amazon.com.
