Congratulations to the Gulf NJROTC cadets, who placed 4th at the Lake Howell Veteran’s Day Drill Meet this past Saturday (Nov. 3). The cadets earned 7 trophies. Cmdr. McGuire reports, “The competition was extremely tough, with the cadets finishing behind the current National Drill Champions, last year’s Champion, and a third school that is on its way to a national championship.”
Additionally, the Gulf NJROTC unit will be recognized next Tuesday at the Association of Fundraising Professionals annual philanthropic awards ceremony. The cadets will be awarded the AFP Nature Coast’s 2012 Youth in Philanthropy award. Congratulations Cadets.
