Three Gulf students will attend Boys and Girls State in the summer. The three juniors are (left to right) Victor Cao, Nathan Binder, and Kristina Kanaan. Both events are held in Tallahassee for a week during June and July. According to Mrs. Kelley, the representatives study and experience the local, county, and state government processes. One of the main goals of the programs is to foster good citizenship. Additionally, the students develop leadership skills and become knowledgeable individuals in our democratic government processes. Also, they can earn 3 college credits.
