IB seniors went on a field trip to the Energy and Marine Center on Feb. 28. According to Mr. Uchacz, in the G4P (Group 4 Project) biology and chemistry students work together as a team to investigate some phenomenon. For example, students tried to find a correlation between
- salinity and animal/plant diversity
- dissolved oxygen vs. oyster population
- plankton population vs. turbidity of water
- mangrove population
- pH and plant/animal diversity
There were eight groups, and eight different areas of study. Mr. Uchacz took lots of beautiful pictures. They are here (pages 3 and 4).
