Ann Donlon has been teaching at GHS for 17 years.  She is also a graduate of GHS!  Ann has been a Business Teacher, Drop-Out Prevention teacher and is currently the Career Resource Specialist.  She is currently finishing her Masters in Educational Leadership.  Ann is a mentor to all students and works closely with them to ensure they achieve their post-secondary goals.

When asked about her greatest accomplishment or contribution to education, she said:

“I could never pick just one accomplishment or moment. I have seen so many students reach their goal of obtaining a high school diploma. For some, the road was smooth and for others the obstacles seemed too high to overcome. Over the years, it has been my pleasure to be a part of the educational path of so many students. Sometimes my role was small, other times it was instrumental. Either way it was a proud moment for me. I consider the biggest accomplishments of my career the relationships that I have built, and the successes that I’ve seen my students make over the years.

Whether I was helping kids to see their potential as an at-risk dropout prevention teacher, teaching kids about life/employability skills as a business teacher, helping students reach their post-secondary goals as a Career Specialist, or helping develop the AVID program here at Gulf High School as the AVID Coordinator, it has all been extremely rewarding! “
