This past Saturday the Gulf wrestlers competed in the Sunshine Athletic Conference Championships at Fivay High School. The wrestlers finished the day with 7 place winners. With two wrestlers making the finals- Gulf’s sophomore Austin Agazarm (pictured with Coach Schenk) was crowned 120lb SAC Champion and 113lb junior Evan Simonson runner-up. Also placing were 3 wrestler in 4th place; junior Jason Freda at 106, junior Yusef Mostafa 152lbs, and sophomore Ty Robertson 126lb. Two freshman also placed, 182 Bailey Gramenz 6th place and 285 Aemon Mustafa 8th place. Congratulation Buc’s, this Saturday the wrestlers will compete at Anclote High School for the the FHSAA District Championship, top 4 place winners in each weight class quality for the FHSAA Regional Championships in Titusville.
