From Coach Lofton:
At the Early Bird Invitational in Clearwater on 2/17/16, the girls track team made a good showing and made a great deal of improvement and personal best for almost everyone on the team.
Jasmine Jackson placed 1st in the Discus with a new personal best throw of 10’4” and placed 3rd in the shotput with a toss of 33’1”
Ashley Gonyou placed 3rd in the High Hurdles with a season best time of 17.79 and placed 5th in the 300m Hurdles with a season best time of 53.84
The boys track also improved as well. Some highlights:
Anthony Mercado placed 2nd in the shot put with a toss of 44’1”
John Jessup placed 2nd in the mile run with a season best of 4:56.3
Sebastian Gazda placed 1st in the 3200m run with a personal best time of 10:25
