Gulf wrestlers participated in the Deep South Bayou Duals at LSU in Baton Rouge in December. In an email, Coach DeWalt wrote, “We ended the trip 3-5, losing 3 matches within 9 points or less. We are simply young and in need of extensive mat time. The learning curve for this group is going to be larger than in the years past.
