Before the start of Friday night’s (10/3) football game vs Hudson, Gulf High School honored Keith Newton, former Gulf teacher and coach, who plans to retire at the end of the school year after 42 years in education. He taught and coached at Gulf for 22 years. He is currently the athletic director at Hudson High School.
Gulf High School is dedicating the field in honor of Paul Girardi, who taught and coached at Gulf from 1979 to 2009, and Jerry Young, who taught and coached from 1975 to 2009. They were at Gulf for 30 and 35 years, respectively. Mr. Girardi also served as Athletic Director.
