In a Sunshine Athletic Conference battle on Wednesday evening (3/12), the Buccaneers traveled to Ridgewood to face the Rams. Victory was quick. Led by the resurgence of senior Nikki Sedivy (2 for 2, 4 RBI’s) and Alyssa Mulroy (3 for 4, 2 Runs Scored) the ladies shut out the Rams 12-0 in convincing fashion. Amanda Crisafulli added 3 RBI’s and scored twice. Madison Morlan again took to the mound and allowed 3 hits while striking out six in picking up her 8th win and 4th shutout.
With the win the Bucs stayed tied for the SAC lead and prepare for the long bus ride on Thursday (3/13) to Pasco to face the Pirates. An exciting start to the season so far and spring break upon us the ladies deserve the week of rest. Next home game will be March 25th versus the Anclote Sharks. Game time is 6:pm. We would love to see a good turnout to welcome back the hardest working team on the Suncoast. Go Bucs!
