Tonight (2/11) the Buccaneers opened their home portion of the 2014 varsity schedule with a convincing 5-0 victory over 5A-8 rival Fivay. The crowd welcomed the 2013 5A-8 District Champions home for their defense of the district title and Madison Morlan did not disappoint. Going the distance for the shutout, striking out 7. She also drove in 2 runs. For the first time in her career, Madison blasted a pair of triples in the 3rd & 5th innings. Rachel Gardner & Tarra Rice each drove in a run to help in the win. The win kept the Buccaneers at the top of the district. Next on the schedule, the ladies welcome Wesley Chapel in for a conference match up on Wednesday Feb. 12th at 6:pm for JV and varsity follows at 8:pm. Come out and support the hardest working in the state.
