FROM COACH RICK: For the first time in the fast pitch era, the Gulf Buccaneers are 5A-8 district champions. Behind another pitching jewel by Madison Morlan the Bucs scored a convincing 8-1 victory over Pasco. The offense was led by the booming bat of Nikki Sedivy who went 4 for 4, a 2 run HR & a 3 run HR along with a double and single. Nikki knocked in 5 RBI’s. The last time the Bucs played in the State Playoffs was in 2005, losing to Auburndale. On Wednesday the Buccaneers will host a first round game for the very first time. The opponent will be Tavares. We need a huge NEW PORT RICHEY presence to lift the Buccaneer Pride. Great job girls, I am so very proud of your efforts through the entire season.
