Softball team wins 1st game at districts

The Buccaneers battled to a 7-1 lead and held on for a 7-6 win over Fivay. Big sticks came from Brittney Pressler (2 for 4, triple), Hanna McCarthy (2 for 3, double), Rachel Gardner (2 for 3, triple). Madison Morlan started and got the win. Brittney Pressler came in to relieve Madison (overheated) with runners at 1st and 2nd, 1 out and a 3-0 count to the lead off batter. Four pitches later, strike out and ground out to get out of the inning and end the threat. Next game is tomorrow night at 7pm. The Bucs will play host team Zephyrhills in the semifinal. Winner advances to the finals on Friday. Great win and Go Bucs!
