Gulf High School’s 221 eligible seniors received their diplomas tonight in the school’s 82nd annual commencement.
Pasco County School Superintendent Heather Fiorentino represented the school district on stage and congratulated each graduate.
Mr. Imerson thanked the voters of Pasco County for approving the one-cent sales tax increase last year, and he announced that revenue from the tax increase will fund the construction of a new Career Resource Center. He said the new CRC will be located adjacent to the guidance department and will double the size of the guidance area.
Dr. Gallagher announced the name of each graduate, taking over the job done in previous years by Mrs. Haynes, who retired in January.
Three faculty members — Mrs. Zirhut, Mr. Fagan, and Mr. Blair — are parents of graduating seniors. Each presented the diploma to his or her child.
