Dr. Marion Bullock, who taught Spanish at Gulf High School in the 1980s, died on June 18. She was 62. After leaving Gulf, Dr. Bullock was employed by PHCC from 1988 to 2006 and served in several capacities, including provost of the Dade City campus. In an email, a former Gulf teacher recalled, “She was the most brilliant and lovely lady you could ever meet. The kids LOVED her. She did some of the most creative things with her students. They even had a singing group that cut an album back in the ’80’s.” Viewing will be Friday from 6-8 pm at Dobies Funeral Home, 8825 Old County Road 54. Funeral Mass will be held on Sat. at 12:30 pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 8320 Old County Road 54.
