Kari Grippo, Katie Buckman, Mia Savino, and Renee Patnode set a new school record the 4×800 meter relay on March 29 at the conference meet with a time of 10:00. With them is Coach Val Lofton, who as a Gulf athlete was part of the team that had set the old record of 10:07. Mrs. Lofton coached three of the girls in middle school.
