Shree Sundaresh has been named the Outstanding Senior at Gulf High School. The announcement was made yesterday by Dr. Knobl, with Mrs. Kelley, Mrs. Joens, Mrs. Buono, and Mr. Elias also present.

Shree is the 17-year-old daughter of Suma and K. V. Sundaresh of New Port Richey. She is a National Merit Semifinalist. Her hobbies include Indian classical dancing and playing the piano.

She hopes to become a doctor, with her major interest being in neuroscience. She hopes to attend either Johns Hopkins or Stanford.

She has two older brothers who are in college.

UPDATE: It was announced on Nov. 15 that Shree was chosen the Outstanding Senior for the Pasco County school district. She is the third Gulf senior in a row to win the honor, after Trevor Abbott in 2010 and Melissa Morlan in 2011.
