New teacher joins the Gulf faculty

Erika Pugh, a science teacher, will join the Gulf faculty on Sept. 12. Ms. Pugh will teach Biology and Anatomy and Physiology. Ms. Pugh moved to Florida from Kentucky in June. She previously taught biology, anatomy, and earth science at Bowling Green Junior and High School in Bowling Green, Ky. She has a B. S. degree in biology from Idaho State College and earned her teaching certificate at Western Kentucky University. She was born in Carmel, California, and graduated from Yuba City High School. Ms. Pugh replaces Mrs. Murchie, who transferred to Mitchell High School, where her children attend school. For the first few weeks of school, the classes were taught by a substitute, Joy Robus, a Gulf graduate, who we understand did an excellent job!
