Frances Costa, our HCA Biology Honors teacher, and her team of seven sophomore HCA students accomplished a very important community project this summer. They volunteered at North Bay Hospital and in doing so bridged GHS with our closest hospital. This is the beginning of a wonderful community partnership.

The team volunteered as “Patient Representatives.” They assisted and advocated for patients on the second and third floors of the hospital. Ms. Costa stated, “I am very proud of my students and their ability to maintain a high level of professionalism. They did a tremendous job.” The students had a wonderful experience and will continue volunteering during the school year.
