The 16th annual GHS Alumni Scramble held on June 3 at Fox Hollow Country Club was extremely successful.  The event hosted 34 foursomes, making the field one of the largest to date.  The event generated 25 hole sponsorships and 15 corporate sponsors ($500 or more).

The following were Corporate Sponsors:  Waddell and Reed, Patrick Gallagher and Todd Mazur, Billy Phillips, A to Zebra Tutoring Services, Canterbury Farms Wholesale Nursery, New Port Richey Rotary, Marolf Environmental, Rollin James Jewelers, Boone Plumbing Services, Progressive Air Systems, Tires Plus, Regency Design and Engineering, Action Jackson Buys Houses, and RAB Foundation Repair.

The tournament was orchestrated by former Athletic Director Paul Girardi, Jerry Young, and Gulf High School alumni Orville Williamson, Judy Parker, and Billy Dicorte.

Gulf High School Athletic Director Travis DeWalt writes, “This group of alumni is extremely valuable to our school as they truly care about GHS.  All of these guys have been actively involved in the Scramble since inception sixteen years ago.  They have solely generated over one hundred thousand dollars earmarked to general athletics over the span of sixteen years.  Their contribution to the school is nothing shy of incredible and extremely appreciated!”

This year’s Scramble generated close to $8,000.  Thank you to everyone involved in making our event such a success.
