Guardian ad Litem Program is responsible for community outreach, awareness and recruitment in Pasco County.   She most recently learned that some of the schools in the 1st Judicial Circuit are allowing the Guardian ad Litem program to utilize their school signs/marquis for a few weeks during the summer months to raise awareness and hopefully spark the interest of potential volunteer advocates (see attached).   She informed the program desperately needs volunteer advocates as the number of abused, neglected and abandoned children in the child welfare system continues to rise in Pasco County…now well over 1000.  She was wondering if this might be something that could be done with some of the Pasco County schools during our summer months?  In Pasco, they would like to post the following verbiage (or something similar):
