Gulf High School is happy to announce that the 2017 Pasco County Schools representative for the Sunshine State Scholar Award is a student who attends Gulf. Shivadarshan Murali was selected from top Pasco County 11th graders due to his accomplishments in both Mathematics and Science. Shivadarshan has top scores in his many Advanced Placement tests and has excelled in completion of rigorous mathematics and science courses offered at GHS. He has a GPA of 4.67. He is the President of FBLA, a member of the mathematics honor society and a math tutor. His AP Calculus teacher, Ms. Stojanovska, writes, “His intellectual curiosity makes him one of those rare students who is extremely driven, and he tries to broaden his academic horizons above and beyond.” The Sunshine State Scholars event will be held in Orlando on May 19-20.
